Have you ever wanted 20% off all your Stampin' Up! purchases?

I get asked this question all the time “What comes in the Stampin’ Up Starter kit?” The next question is “Ok, so what’s the catch?” or “what do I have to do to stay active?”

With Stampin’ Up having their Starter Kits on sale 15% off starting Feb 1st AND an additional stamp set free (47.95 value!), now is a good time to answer those questions for anyone who is wondering what the real scoop is.

What comes in the Kit? The Starter kit contains $335 worth of products for 199.00 - and now you can take 15% off to make it $169.

- You choose 5 stamp sets, this price or lower: 21.95, 30.95, 27.95, 35.95, and a bonus 47.95 (until March 31).
- One regular wheel 6.50
- A handle for your wheel
- Choose your ink cartridge color for wheel
- Full box of pastels (49 colors)
- 2 packs of assorted cardstock (choose your color group) 72 sheets total
- Pack of white or vanilla cardstock - 40 sheets
- Snail adhesive (refillable)
- Choose a 20.95 Décor Element (vinyl)
- Stampin’ Scrub and mist cleaner (a must for any stamper!)
- Versamark pad (clear ink used for watermarks or embossing)
- 3 Blender Pens
- 5 classic ink pads, your choice of color
- Tons of business supplies like a box of 8 catalogs, mini catalogs, our Demonstrator magazine and order forms.

What is the catch? Other than an addictive hobby, it’s pretty easy. Signing up to be a demonstrator takes about 20 minutes online. And you get your password to go onto the Demonstrator Only Website right away while you wait for your kit to arrive in a week to 10 days. Sign onto: www.crazyboutstampin.stampinup.net and click on Join us! Fill out the information. It is that easy!

What if I decide to not place any orders and just enjoy my kit? Stampin ‘Up will just drop you after your quarter is up. No penalties, nothing to give back, no note sent home to your parents.

How much do I have to order to stay active? $300 retail quarterly. This Stampin’ Up quarter runs Jan, Feb, March. So if you sign up Feb 1st, you would get your first quarter free of minimums. Apr-may-June is the next quarter so you would have to your $300 in orders by the end of June.

It can be ALL at once, or in smaller orders. With just your own orders or friends adding to it. You can be your own hostess, so with your 20% off as a demonstrator, the 300 goes down to 240.00 but then add back in 10% shipping. Being your own hostess, you can get a free hostess set and 25.00 free product. So it pays off if you are looking for a discount and you are going to spending that much on stampin' stuff anyway.

Bonus: This is why some people sign up if they have a huge wish list or want something big like the BIG SHOT: You get 30% (instead of 20%) off your first order over 150.00 if you place it within 45 days of signing up. Be your own hostess + get a big discount = no brainer.

Do I have to have classes or workshops?
Some demonstrators do it as a career and support themselves full time with it. It’s a lot of work but it can be done. Most of the demonstrators in my group do it just for the discount or hobby. There is no requirement to host or teach any classes. Now if you want help with putting in the orders, we call those Bread and Butter customers. Those are the friends or family that you can stamp with each month or every other month so they can order a few things from you. Every little bit helps! I am a stamp at home mom and have chosen to do this as a part-time business; however, not everyone really wants or needs that. They like the fact of the 20% discount plus all the pre-order perks.

What is in the Demonstrator Only Website?
5 years of back issues of our Stampin’ Success magazines (which arrive in our mail monthly), projects, templates, articles, some videos, Stamper’s Showcase (3-4 samples uploaded daily from demonstrators who submitted their samples) and Workshop Wizard, which has more projects.
Some people sign up just for the preorders. Maybe this has happened to you: You are on a website and see this cute card and say “I want that set!” but it’s not available for another month and then you get mad because the demonstrators already have it and are using it? Then you should be a demonstrator and get the upcoming mini catalogs or promotional stuff before anyone else!

If you have more questions, feel free to call or email me anytime.

I am doing a swap this weekend with some other demonstrators. I chose to use a Hostess set since we are only able to (as a demonstrator) to purchase two new sets with the beginning of a new catalog. On this card I used Dream a Little (Level III hostess set), Rasberry Tart DSP, 1" Rose Red double stitched ribbon, Rose Red cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Regal Rose cardstock, Kiwi Kiss classic ink pad, blender pen, Basic Black classic ink pad, Rose Red classic ink pad, Regal Rose stampin' write marker, Rose Red stampin' write marker and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Anyone that places an order ONLINE between Feb. 1st -April 30th will receive a FREE CATALOG! That is an awesome deal! Scrappin' Fun!

This past weekend I got together with family and friends for our scrapbooking day. Here are a few pages I put together that day. This one I used Pink Pirquette, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze. I did a page similar to this at a club for my oldest daughters book and decided to do a page for my youngest daughters book, as they both love the snow so much. Also used here was the scallop edge punch, large oval punch, 1 1/4 circle punch, 1/ 3/8 circle punch, 1/8 circle punch, natual twine, square scallop punch, word window punch, Baja Breeze cardstock, Whisper White cardstock and Ski Slope Designer series paper (retired 1/18/09).

On this page I used the Felt Flurries (retired 1/18/09), Almost Amethyst cardstock, Ski Slope Designer series paper (retired 1/18/09), chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, 1/2 inch circle punch, chocolate chip cardstock and whisper white cardstock.

This was Shelby's birthday in Oct. On this page I used So Saffron cardstock, Bashful Blue cardstock, Rose Red cardstock, The cricut to cut the images and Title. Also, the designer series paper is from a retired hostess Simply Scrappin' kit called Friends and Flowers.

Kit of the Month

I am starting a new "thing" for us here on my blog. I will be doing a Kit of the month. This kit will be "pre-cut" and all you will have do to is stamp it and put it together when you receive it. Now, let me warn you that next month I will be having a baby and may skip that month depending on how everything goes! I will also be offering the stamp set in some of the kits. If you have the stamp set that I happen to use I will also be giving out a the cost without the stamp set. This has been a request I received from several ladies in my clubs and have decided since the baby is coming this is a great time to start it. I will except credit cards for these kits as well as checks and of course cash. I would not suggest you send cash in the mail though.

If you are interested in this month's kit email me and have your payment to me by Jan. 16th.

Here is the kit of the month for January:

This month's kit is a calendar. The calendar will come pre-printed and again, pre-cut. All you will have to do is stamp it and put it together. This kit is $10.00. If you want me to stamp it for you then the kit will be $15.00. Shipping and Handling is $4.75. If you want more than one kit I will combine shipping for you. You do not have to use the stamps that I am showing for each month here you can use any stamps that you may already have on hand for this month's kit or again I can stamp it exactly the way it is here for you for the additional $5.00. All orders must be to me by Jan. 16th with payment. I will in turn have your calendar to you by the end of January so you can still enjoy your January portion of the calendar. This calendar fits in a 3 1/2 x 5 frame so you can sit it on your desk. I use the clear upright frame shown below. If you have any questions or would like to order please email me. www.crazyboutstampin@comcast.net

Thanks!

Love you Much Card

This is a card that we made today at one of my SU! clubs. This is from the Love you Much Bundle and this stamp set will be available in the new catalog. You can purchase this set right now in the Love you Much Bundle with a three heart punch and Designer Series Paper. See my website for more details. www.crazyboutstampin.stampinup.net

This is what the stamp set looks like. The three heart stamp goes along with the three heart punch in the Love you Much Bundle.

Here is what we used to make this card:

Love you Much Stamp Set

Pink Pirquette Cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and 2 5/8 x 3 3/8

Bella Rose Designer Series Paper 3 3/4 x 5

Whisper White 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pad

Basic Black Classic Ink Pad

1/2 Inch Circle Punch

Pink Pirquette re-inker

Blender Pens

Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon

Designer Buttons from the Button Bouquet collection

White gel Pen

Stampin' Dimensions (to pop up the little flower)

Mini Glue Dots (for the button)

Bathroom Frame

I did a frame for Shelby's bathroom when I first started with SU!. I decided this past week to re-do the frame a little. I used the (retired) SU! set Sketch it. On this I used Summer Sun, Only Orange and Pink Passion cardstock. I also used these same color Classic inks to make my flowers with. Just interchanging them as I went along. You cannot see it very well in the picture but I also took Tempting Turquoise and used a (retired) background stamp to stamp some small circles on the matting. These are the colors in her bathroom and bedroom. I love doing these frames and they make great gifts!

Sydney's Birthday Invitation

For Sydney's Birthday we are doing a Strawberry Shortcake theme. I do not have any Strawberry "Shortcake" stamps but I do have a Strawberry. So this is what I came up with. I used Whisper White as the basic card and did a postcard size. (This is not a full card) I then used Ridinghood Red DSP for the next layer and Gable Green for the following layer. I actually printed this out on my computer using Whisper White cardstock and then used my SU! Markers to color and stamp the strawberry. The strawberry is from the Tart & Tangy Stamp set on page 129 of the current catalog. I cannot believe my little girl is going to be 4. Wow, time does fly!

Another Christmas Card

Hi Ladies! Sorry I have been away so long. I have been really busy getting ready for the baby and Sydney's birthday party.

This is a Christmas card I received from my upline, Judi. As you can see she does a fabulous job and is such an inspiration to me!!! Love you Judi! I did receive it before Christmas but again have not had much time to post it.
